NIFA Program Urban Programs

	About 80 percent of Americans live in urban areas. Among the public issues they deal with are health, community development, natural resources and the environment, and workforce development. NIFA works to increase awareness of the need for Cooperative Extension Service programs in urban areas and provides funding for them.
