&lt;p&gt;The 2008 pre-conference theme this year was Extension Opportunities in Troubled Times. The planning team -- Jinhee Kim, University of Maryland; Bobbie Shaffett, Mississippi State University; Claudette Smith, North Carolina State A&amp;T; Trish Olson, University of Minnesota; Patti Wooten Swanson; University of California; Jim Terry, Program Specialist, CSREES,  and Jane Schuchardt, National Program Leader, CSREES – made the pre-conference highly interactive with news to be used.  Highlights were dialogue related to educational opportunities regarding bankruptcy, mortgage foreclosure, and natural disasters. The Pre-conference agenda and the presenters PowerPoint slides are available for your use.
