1890 Land-Grant Universities
Prior to 1890, African Americans were prohibited from attending the original land-grant institutions of higher learning established by Congress in 1862. The Second Morrill Act of 1890 changed all that, and today 18 colleges and universities comprise this dynamic group. This Partners episode celebrates their significant accomplishments.
