Partners Video Receives Telly Award

CSREES Partners Video Magazine has been awarded with a 2004 Silver Telly, the highest honor the Telly Awards bestows.

Partners is a video magazine produced by CSREES. It highlights the programs and accomplishments of the partnership between CSREES and the Land-Grant University System in the areas of research, education, and extension.

The Partners winning episode featured the Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program (EFNEP), showcasing the program’s 35-year history of educating Americans about healthy eating habits and the benefit of an active lifestyle. EFNEP is designed to assist limited-resource audiences in acquiring the knowledge, skills, attitudes, and changed behavior necessary for nutritionally sound diets, and to contribute to their personal development and the improvement of the total family diet and nutritional well-being.

Founded in 1979, the Telly Awards is the premier award honoring outstanding local, regional, and cable television commercials and programs, as well as the finest video and film productions. With a 25-year history of recognizing creative excellence, the Telly Awards is a widely known and highly respected international competition. A judging panel of over 20 industry professionals evaluate over 10,000 entries to recognize distinction in creative work. Less than 10% of the entries are chosen as winners of a Silver Telly.

"I am proud to say the quality of work in this year’s competition was remarkable. Being chosen for recognition from this excellent entry pool is a significant achievement for which the winners and finalists should be very proud," said Richard Friley, chairman of the judging panel.

CSREES and Partners have a tradition of excellence in video production. For the past five years, Partners episodes were finalists for the Bronze Telly, the organization's second highest honor.
