NIFA Nanotechnology Conference
A nanotechnology grantees conference was held December 10-11, 2010 at the NIFA Waterfront Centre headquarters. It was jointly organized by NIFA and Canada Advanced Food and Materials Network (AFMNet).
The event covered nanoscale science, engineering and technology relevant to agriculture, food, and soft matters. Attendees had the first opportunity to see more than 10 newly awarded projects involving food safety intervention technologies and safety assessment of nanomaterials that may be used in foods, among others.
The meeting included several plenary speakers, project update presentations, as well as posters from recent awardees.
