Pesticide Safety Education Program (PSEP)

The Pesticide Safety Education Program (PSEP), managed jointly by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and NIFA, supports educational programs for pesticide applicators in the proper use of pest management technologies. Extension programs at land grant institutions, in conjunction with state regulatory agencies that certify and license applicators, provide these education programs.

PSEP is funded by the EPA, NIFA, and other funds from state governments, county governments, program training fees, and federal competitive grants. NIFA administers the funds and provides program leadership by managing the national program connecting to the land-grant institutions in each state, the District of Columbia, and U.S. territories.
