Medicare Education Project

Through its partner universities, CSREES
is working with the Centers for Medicare
and Medicaid to fund a project to help Medicare
beneficiaries make informed decisions about
the new Medicare Prescription Drug Card Program.
Extension offices, partner universities,
and community organizations in South Dakota,
Idaho, Nevada, Wyoming, and Nebraska are
developing outreach and marketing programs
for seniors. As more states finalize their
programs, additional resources will be added
to this page.
PowerPoint Presentations
Each state is also required to submit reports
to CSREES that indicate the program’s
successes. These can include number of volunteers
trained, number of advertisements placed
in local media, and number of seniors who
have signed up for the Medicare Prescription
Drug Card program as a result of this outreach.
