The 4-H Name and Emblem are held in trust by the Secretary of Agriculture of the United States Department of Agriculture for the educational and character-building purposes of the 4-H program and can be used only as authorized by statute and according to the authorization of the Secretary or designated representative.
The 4-H Name and Emblem have special protections from Congress that exceed the level of protection available for a trademark or copyright. Individuals and entities must be authorized to use the 4-H Name and/or Emblem to legally use them, and they must adhere to all guidelines for use.
For individuals/entities that are duly authorized to use the 4-H Name and/or Emblem: the official 4-H Emblem is available for download in green and black in three graphic file formats: tif, jpg and gif. A gif with transparent background has now been added to the black and color versions. These files have been packaged in a compressed ZIP file that requires you to have software to uncompress the file, such as PKZip or WinZip.
Compressed ZIP file (PC or Mac): Follow your compression software instructions to extract the files. The files will be extracted to the path that you indicate. Please remember that the emblem is protected under federal statute, so it is inappropriate to change the shape, color, or look of the emblem.
