NIFA Diversity Working Group

The mission of the NIFA Diversity Working Group (DWG) is to provide a forum for NIFA professionals to foster, achieve, and sustain USDA’s commitment to diversity. It serves at the pleasure of the director of NIFA, and currently has 23 employees who represent NIFA’s diversity. 

The NIFA Diversity Working Group:

• embraces diversity and inclusion as core values that will spur growth and positive change within NIFA;

• ensures leadership accountability in the cultivation of a workplace culture where the uniqueness, background, and experience of every employee is trusted, valued, and respected;

• strengthens our diversified workforce so we can continue to effectively serve our diverse customers, recruit the best talent, stimulate an environment of productivity; and

• encourages the elimination of underrepresentation, discrimination, and harassment throughout NIFA and promote similar values within the Land-Grant System, and beyond.
