Families at Risk (CYFAR) Conference
The Windy City was the backdrop for inspiring discussions, leading-edge technology trainings, engaging workshops and other professional development activities at the 2007 CYFAR conference. CYFAR conference showcases new research, programs, resources and strategies relevant to work with our CYFAR audiences. It provides an opportunity to share ideas, celebrate accomplishments and renew our commitment to at-risk children and families.
The 2007 Conference Proceedings will be available on CYFERnet. If you presented at the conference and would like to share your presentation and handouts, please send them to cyf@umn.edu.
Announcing CYFAR 2008 in San Antonio
The 2008 CYFAR Conference will be May 7-9, in San Antonio, TX. CYFAR 2008 will feature keynote speakers, current youth and family research presenters, interactive workshops and computer labs, as well as a Program Showcase demonstrating the most successful CYFAR community programs. Plans are underway for a playground build in San Antonio in addition to in-depth pre-conference sessions on May 6. CYFAR 2008 will be at the Hyatt Regency San Antonio on the Riverwalk.
Interested child, youth, and family professionals are invited to participate in this high quality conference by submitting proposals for Workshops, Computer Labs, Research Posters and Program Showcase Exhibits. Applications are due October 31, 2007. The Call for Proposals can be found on the CYFAR 2008 Conference Web site.
