Fruit and Vegetable Market Analysis Project

The Fruit and Vegetable Market Analysis Project at Arizona State University (ASU) aims to respond in a timely manner to requests for policy-relevant information from Congressional members and their staffs on a wide variety of topics that impact the fruit and vegetable industry or consumers.

Research results and forecasts from the project are available to grower groups, legislators, consumer organizations, and other interested parties. The project also develops 10-year baseline projections on production, prices, consumption, and trade for the fruit and vegetable sector that are consistent and complementary to the forecasting efforts at allied research projects at Iowa State University, the University of Missouri, and Texas A&M University.

In the past decade, the project has contributed timely policy analysis on numerous issues, including export promotion, crop insurance, agricultural labor, and the Food Quality Protection Act.

For detailed information, contact Albert Kagan, Principal Investigator, at ASU or Bob Young at the University of Missouri.
