Policy Committees
CSREES provides ongoing financial support
to the Farm
Foundation 's public policy committees,
which help the agricultural sector define
the roles and responsibilities of agricultural
institutions.
The Farm Foundation helps private and public
sector decisionmakers identify and understand
the forces that will shape the future of
American farming. With CSREES' assistance,
it improves the economic and social well-being
of U.S. agriculture, the food system, and
rural communities.
The Farm Foundation's six priority program
areas are globalization, environmental and
natural resource issues, new technologies,
consumer issues, the role of agricultural
institutions, and rural community viability.
