Research
on lactation (the production of milk)
includes organ systems, cellular components,
and molecular studies to improve the quality
and quantity of milk produced by agricultural
animals. CSREES funds work on lactation
and supports the efforts of the land-grant
partnership in developing applications
of this research to improve the quality
and efficiency of milk produced by dairy
animals.
