NNF Proposal Peer Review Process
A panel is convened to review and discuss proposals and make funding recommendations. Panel members are subject matter experts in research and training. Ad hoc panelists also review proposals, using the same evaluation criteria as the assigned panel reviewers. For each application, review comments submitted through the CSREES Peer Review System are discussed at the peer panel meeting. A panel summary review, representing panel consensus, is sent to the applicant.
