Tribal Colleges Research Grants Program
This program was initiated in FY 2000 to assist 1994 Land-Grant Institutions (Tribal Colleges) to conduct agricultural research that addresses high priority concerns of tribal, national, or multistate significance. Awards are to be made on the basis of a competitive process. Grants shall support investigative and analytical studies in the food and agricultural sciences. Eligible institutions may propose projects in any discipline(s) of the food and agricultural sciences. There are no limits on the specific subject matter/emphasis areas to be supported.

More Information on Eligibility
Grant applications submitted under this program must certify that the research to be conducted will be performed under a cooperative agreement with at least one 1862 or 1890 Land-Grant college or university. This does not preclude 1994 institutions from working jointly on projects under this program so long as the cooperative agreement requirement is met.
