Healthy Urban Food Enterprise Development Center Program
The Consolidated and Further Continuing Appropriations Act, Public Law 112-55, did not provide funding for the HUFED program in FY 2012; therefore, NIFA will not offer the funding opportunity this fiscal year. The FY 2009 request for application is available for informational purposes ONLY. The purpose of the HUFED Center grant program is to establish and support a Healthy Urban Food Enterprise Development Center to increase access to healthy affordable foods, including locally produced agricultural products, to underserved communities. The HUFED Center will provide training and technical assistance for food enterprises and award sub-grants to eligible entities for healthy food enterprise development.
