National Research Initiative - Animal Genome (B): Tools and Resources
The Animal Genome program provides science-based knowledge and technologies to generate new or improved high-quality products/processes and to promote the efficiency of agricultural production systems. This information will also enhance protection and safety of the Nation's agriculture and food supply through development and delivery of information/technologies to genetically improve animals of agricultural importance. The Tools and Resources program element will emphasize the development of basic tools and resources to accelerate research in agricultural animal genomics. The goal is to develop state-of-the-art tools and resources that will advance the understanding of animal genomes in terms of organization and function. Applicants are strongly encouraged to read the entire Program Description section for current priorities and additional information relative to the program of interest. Please carefully review the RFA guidelines to ensure application acceptance.
