Civil Rights Training

EOS provides the following civil rights training to NIFA employees and its land-grant university partners to ensure fairness and equity in employment practices and in the delivery of programs and services:

  • For an introduction to compliance in Extension programs, view a webinar co-led by Norman Pruitt and Nancy Corley for the North Central Cooperative Extension Association on “Extension Compliance Basics and Beyond.” The accompanying handouts may be downloaded here:

  • Orientation programs for agency employees, including new employees
  • Ongoing training for employees, supervisors, and managers
  • Sexual harassment prevention training
  • Cultural diversity training at all organizational levels
  • Training on other topics, such as sexual orientation awareness training in conjunction with the Secretary's policy of nondiscrimination based on sexual orientation
