Overview:
Bob is Director of the Office of Planning and Accountability which provides leadership to the agency in strategic planning, performance measurement and assessment, and in developing the performance sections of the agency budget in partnership with the Budget Office. These activities are used by the agency to improve program leadership and management, allocation of resources, and assessment of program success and are fully described on the agency's Office of Planning and Accountability Web page (www.nifa.usda.gov/opa). Bob is also responsible for overseeing the Agricultural Research, Extension, and Education Reform Act (AREERA) Plan of Work and Annual Report; the NIFA review of multi-state research projects; and intellectual property reporting and issues. In support of the associate administrator, the director of OPA coordinates the assignment of national program leaders for institutional (program) reviews.
