Overview:
Mary Ann provides national leadership for soil and water conservation research, education and extension programs, including nutrient management for concentrated animal feeding operations; manages special grants, Hatch grants, and provides national leadership on regional research committees; Co-chair of Animal Waste Initiative; EPA Ag Sector Contact liaison for Offices of Water, Air, Pesticides, and Solid Waste; Natural Resources Conservation Service, Farm Service Agency liaison; directs the National Research Initiative competitive grants program for Water and Watersheds.
